Hackersley's goal is to produce a top quality red, one that will be regarded as a wine not to bypass because of its fruit flavour and complexity. The vineyard has been designed to support the fruit that is necessary to achieve this objective.

Current Vintages

Tempranillo Rose 2015
We have just released our 2015 Rose, the first of this variety we have attemped. A mix of Tempranillo and Cabernet grapes, this wine shows savoury overtones and lifting fruits. An ideal wine for the coming spring and summer.

Shiraz 2008
Similar in style to the 2007. Great colour and texture, the palate unfolds to deliver lovely black fruit and chocolate characters.

Cabernet Merlot 2007
A blend of the Hackersley Cabernet and Merlot to present a well balanced classical Australian styled wine. Rich fruit flavours and well balanced oak.
Mediium to full bodied wine.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Lovely deep colours. Characteristic blackcurrant and mulberry overtones of black olive, dark chocolate and spices. A harmonious and well-balanced wine with fine grained tannins and balanced acidity. Aged in French oak for 18 months.

Merlot 2008
Sweet cedar and touches of violets over blackberry and raspberry fruit characters. A soft medium to full bodied wine. Aged in French and American Oak for 16 months.

Shiraz Cabernet Merlot 2006
The 2006 Victor is a beautifully balanced blend of our Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot varieties and exhibits lively fruit characteristics of cherry, raspberry and nuances of plum. The wine sits comfortably on its  fine tannins and a well structured oak base.”

Shiraz 2007 - SOLD OUT
Aged in French and American oak for 14 months, the 2007 Shiraz is perhaps one of the best Hackersley has produced. Rich in colour and texture, the palate unfolds to deliver lovely black fruit and chocolate characters.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 - SOLD OUT
Lovely deep colours. Characteristic blackcurrant and mulberry overtones of black olive, dark chocolate and spices. A harmonious and well-balanced wine with fine grained tannins and balanced acidity. Aged in French oak for 18 months.

Merlot 2005 - SOLD OUT
Similar style to previous Merlots showing sweet cedar and touches of violets over blackberry and raspberry fruit characters. A soft medium to full bodied wine. Aged in French and American Oak for 16 months.

Merlot 2004 - Limited supply - SOLD OUT
This wine is gaining a reputation as one of Australia’s finest Merlots. James Halliday rated it at 95/100!! This wine exhibits similar characters to the 2002 and 2003 with sweet cedar and vanilla aromas complementing underlying plum, blackberry and raspberry characters.

Merlot 2003 - SOLD OUT
This Merlot shows sweet cedar and touches of violets over blackberry and raspberry fruit characters. A soft medium to full bodied wine reminiscent of its younger brother. Aged in French and American Oak for 16 months. Top Merlot and silver medal winner at the 2004 Qantas Mt Barker Wine Show.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 - SOLD OUT
Gold medal winner at the recent Geographe Wine Awards. A beautifully balanced wine with typical Cabernet berry character. Aged in a combination of French and American oak for 14 months.

Shiraz 2004 - SOLD OUT
Aged in French and American oak for 14 months, the 2004 Shiraz is perhaps one of the best Hackersley has produced. Rich in colour and texture, the palate unfolds to deliver lovely black fruit and chocolate characters. Beautiful nose!!

Victor - Shiraz Cabernet 2004 - SOLD OUT
Named after our dedicated vineyard manager Victor Bertola. A blend of our 2004 Cabernet and Shiraz with further oak maturation – The best of all worlds!!

Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 - SOLD OUT
Intense deep colour and crimson hues. Nose exhibits characteristic blackcurrant and mulberry overtones of black olive, dark chocolate and spices. A harmonious and well-balanced wine with fine grained tannins and balanced acidity. Aged in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months.

Shiraz 2002 - SOLD OUT
A firmly structured wine with fine grain tannins aged in French and American oak for 16 months. Typical black fruit and chocolate aromas with similar characteristics embedded in the palate. This wine will more than satisfy Hackersley devotees.

Merlot 2002 - SOLD OUT
Sweet cedar and vanilla aromas complementing underlying plum, blackberry and raspberry characters. Aged on French and American Oak for 12 months. A soft medium to full bodied wine with the clarity of flavour for those seeking a true expression of merlot fruit character. A Gold Medal winner at the 2003 Qantas Mt Barker Wine Show and the Geographe Wine Show where it won the trophy for best red varietal. Named in James Hallidays top 100 (94 points) - November 2003.

Excellent red-purple, deep but clear; a smoothly complex mix of cassis, mulberry, cedar and spice on the bouquet, then an elegant but flavoursome palate with ripe cassis and impeccable oak handling. Lovely wine, outstanding value.

Gold medal winner at 2002 Geographe Wine Show.

Shiraz 2000 - SOLD OUT

Medium to full red-purple; solid, ripe black fruits and chocolate aromas are folded through well-handled oak; on the palate there is abundant but not over-extracted black cherry, chocolate and spice fruit, allied with excellent tannins and oak.
